Dr Laura Connolly GradDipPsych. BA(Hons), DPsych(Neuro)

Dr Connolly is a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist with a special interest in the assessment of adult ADHD and Autism. Dr Connolly is passionate about working collaboratively with patients and taking a strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming approach to helping individuals reach their goals.

Dr Connolly conducts comprehensive specialised assessments that entail both a diagnostic workup and assessment of your thinking skills, which helps you to understand your cognitive strengths and weaknesses (i.e. brain function). This assists with developing strategies that will guide you in your day-to-day life, whether that be to help with concentration, memory, or executive function difficulties. Dr Connolly provides a feedback session following your assessment to help you understand the results and recommendations.

Dr Connolly is also experienced in the assessment and intervention of a wide range of conditions, including various forms of acquired brain injury, dementia, and neurological conditions. Dr Connolly employs a variety of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, CBT for Insomnia, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness-based interventions. Dr Connolly has had clinical experience across a number of settings, including private practice, inpatient and outpatient public health services, and has worked with individuals across the lifespan.

Dr Connolly has completed a Doctor of Psychology (Clinical Neuropsychology) at Monash University. She is endorsed as a Clinical Neuropsychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and College of Clinical Neuropsychologists. She is also a certified meditation teacher.
